Hello there,
I have been using the UP Mini 2 for a few months now, and while I love the ease of use and the compact design, I have been having some issues with print quality and layer adhesion. I am hoping someone can help me troubleshoot or provide advice based on their own experiences.
Firstly, I have noticed that some prints have inconsistent layer adhesion; leading to layers shifting during the print process. This usually happens on larger prints, but I have also seen some small objects suffer from this problem. I have tried adjusting the print temperature and the bed temperature, but it does not seem to solve the issue completely. Is there a recommended range for these settings, or could it be something else causing the layers to separate?
Secondly; I am having trouble with the surface finish of my prints. Even though I am using the recommended filaments; some prints come out rough or with visible lines between layers. I have tried cleaning the print bed thoroughly, but the issue persists. I am wondering if anyone has advice on how to improve the overall surface finish or if certain settings in the UP Studio software could help smooth things out.
Also, I have gone through this post; https://forum.tiertime.com/t/brand-new-to-up-mini-2-prints-not-sticking-power-bi which definitely helped me out a lot.
Lastly; I have heard about the importance of recalibrating the bed regularly. Is there a certain frequency you all follow for this, or is there a best practice when it comes to maintaining print quality?
Thanks in advance for your help and assistance.
