Up Mini 1 - redesign of the old cooling system

I know these old little beasties are probably very much a niche printer these days, but i picked one up super cheap and it seems like a solid little printer for its size and age so i gave mine a bit of love and fixed a couple of the cooling issues and i figured there might be one or two of these floating around that could benefit from the same attention.

In a nutshell, i’ve got more air flowing over the hotend cooling block with a 5015 fan, added ducting for moderate part cooling, and put the original fan on the front to get some airflow over the extruder motor. Tested with PLA and ABS with surprisingly solid results, especially given that i’ve got no control over the part cooling fan speed. Great diagonal and overhang printing, no warping on ABS and no more heat creep issues preventing PLA from printing :ok_hand:

if anyone is keen, i’ve got the STLs on printables:

Designed in multiple parts to make it easy to print and easy to disassemble for servicing. Best printed in something like ABS or ASA because it is in contact with the cooling block and the extruder motor.

(on a side note, if anyone has managed to get klipper on one of these without changing over the board i’m incredibly interested. Not sure i’d bother sinking the money/time into upgrading it if i have to change the board, but it would make a wicked little printer if i could get klipper on it as is!)
