Hi All,

Just wanted to share the fantastic quality that I’m getting from my UP300, that is some cases outperform my resin printer.

That I can print 40TPI threads at this scale is amazing - the tolerances of the UP300 are truly fantastic, and the finish is excellent - no obvious defect anywhere on the model, no significant signs of the print head shaking with right angle turns. Clean sharp threads at 600 micron spacing, with coverage over most of the surface.

I never expected the threads to come out this well on the first attempt ! My old UP Mini just wasn’t even capable of printing the 600 micron spacing threads and struggled with the 800 micron spacing threads. ( both are actually imperial threads, 32 and 40 tpi )

Hi David,

Did you need to go through a manual bed level procedure prior to the first print?

Did you use ABS and standard settings when printing your 40TPI threads?

Hi David,
Thanks for sharing, those threads look great.
I’ve had some issues with internal supports falling over and causing print failure but apart from this I’m also getting excellent results with my UP300 and I’ve been printing allot.
Have you tried 50um layer height yet? You need to use the 0.2mm Nozzle for this. I’m keen to give it a try soon but so far I haven’t changed out the nozzle.

Howdy, that’s a great looking part.

Can we have a some context please? Overall dimensions, material used, what is it and what does it do etc?

Cheers,

Owen S.

It’s a lower part from an AN/PVS-14.

One of these;

And yes, it’s fully functional and replaces the part entirely.

100 micron layer, black ABS that had been sitting around in the humidity for months, 99% infill, though typical wall is around 1 to 2mm thick.
