Here are s few thinsg I've made so far to help out the Cetus a little. Next will be an adaptor for a larger and quieter fan.

simple Z axis stop: will help hold up the Z axis when the power is off.

Spool adapter: to help the spool rotate smoother and keep it from falling off.

here is my 60mm fan adaper design. priting the 2 pieces now and if it works i will upload the stl file. there may or may not be issues with weight but ill keep you guys posted on whether or not it will affect the print quality.

here is the parts on the cetus. fairly light so it doesnt seem to cause any printing issues. I only have a 12v 60mm fan so its slow but my bridge test looks decent even with less air output. with a 60mm 5v fan it will be mich better. correcting some issues with the parts now and will upload for anyone to try out.

finalized the design. SHould snap together well. have one for 60mmx10mm and 60mmx15mm fans. Make sure you fans are 5vs and not 12vs or it'll be at 1/2 speed.

I got inspired by your spool holder, and created my own version.

It's available on Thingiverse as well as a customizable OpenSCAD script. For the Cetus spool holder, open the Customizer, leave the default values and click the create thing button to generate the STL file. That should produce a print with a nice snug fit.

Thats great JanP! Looks much better than mine lol. I may haveto doenload yours instead! Thanks for sharing though! I think it's great for the printing community to share and help each other out.

I made my own version of the spool holder as well. I kept noticing my 1kg spools would ocassionally rock, making an audible thump sound every so often. If the Cetus3D wasn't so sturdy, I'd have been worried the thumps would have introduced slightly vibrations. This spool holder attempts to minimize the rocking (I'm still testing it myself though).

Good job! It will definitely help the spool turn easier and smoother. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!!
