can anybody tell me what the second JST connector is for on the circuit board on top of the feeder motor?

These are spare. I’ve used them for my bltouch.
Its a 5v out similar to the other one.
Whats cool about it is you can control it via G-Code (e.g. turning a fan on or off).
Alternatively you can hook up a laser to it or CNC
