Just had a piece of raft material pop off the build plate and end up in the fan snapping off some fan blades. This ever happen to anyone else? What would be the reason for a piece of raft to pop off the build plate like that?
Also anyone know what size the fan is?
It's a 40mm x10mm 5v fan. If you can fine a quieter one than theone they provided, would be a plus! Never had afast material broke off randamly like that. Maybe the PLA is brittle? I'm using a PLA blend so it has flexibility, beter strength and not brittle. Good luck!
The fans are quite easy to break. If you look on thingiverse there are a few good covers for a 40mm fan that work well in protecting it.
I have personally found this one the best 40mm Fan Cover
What about the fan connector is this a standard connector if I just buy a 40 40 10 5v fan?

Ya I think what happened is during cooling as it shrank there was some internal pressures from the shrinking and it just popped. This is a colored filament would that have any effect on the temperature. Maybe I need to go a bit hotter? Colder? Hell I don't know lol. Still trying to figure all this out.

Yes, its a standard connector. You can buy them with or without the connector so make sure you get one with it.
