In the FAQ of this site there are steps on how to. Apart from that: it's a good thing to preheat the nozzle. In my sofware I can not set a preheat time. So I would extrude without filament. Use welders gloves while doing this.

I just withdraw the filament, let the nozzle cool down, I don't remove the cap from the nozzle because I have been unable to, they're really tight. Then use the tool provided to take it off, put the new one on, and check the nozzle height after.
