Cetus Spool Holder

I've uploaded a spool holder design to thingiverse - see the link below. I designed this holder to fit the Cetus specifically, and it's worked quite nicely for me so far. Hope you enjoy it:

I'm going to start printing it this evening. In your Thingiverse post it says you printed it at 0.1mm layer height and it only took ~6 hours to print the stand. When I use that layer height I'm getting an estimate of well over 19 hours to print the stand and that's with Fast Quality. Am I missing something?

I just noticed that in the Thingiverse post you also say you used 99% infill. That punches the estimate up to 42 hours so still not sure what you used for settings to get ~6 hours for the stand.

Sorry I'm reallly not sure where you see that I used a 99% infill - I definitely did not use that nor 0.1mm layer height. Check out my reply to your comment on thingiverse, hopefully that clears things up.

I printed this out and I'm here to tell you that it works great!

Very nice, integrated design. At first I was thinking I woudn't print one since, ultimately, the printer will be on my workbench downstairs. In the basement, I just hang filament spools from the ceiling joists above my printers.

But...I just can't get the Wi-Fi to work (PC on wired, Cetus3D on wireless...no luck!) so the Cetus3D is living on the dining room table now. And as nice looking as the included spoolholder is, there is no weight and I just realized it was scratching the table (a marble table!) as it was dragged across the table.

Sorry I keep repeating mysef, but I want to get the word out regarding WiFi since it's soooooo much nicer with WiFi: If you have access to another router (or some way to create a hotspot, like your phone mabye), if you use the exact same SSID and Password (and security type), you can trick the Cetus3D in to connecting to your desired WiFi network (you may or may not have to turn off the real one).

I wish it were that easy. I have connected my Cetus3D to my wireless network successfully. But, because of the number of wireless devices (according to Cetus), the software cannot find my Cetus3D. Which is why I'd like them to allow for entering an IP address into the printer config screen. I can ping the printer fine so I know it's online. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my PC not being on wireless (same network, just wired).

I can imagine it's pretty nice, though...:)

I printed the spool holder and it's working fine.

What I've noticed about the Wifi is that the Cetus software looses contact if it's not the current application you're looking at. If I switch from Cetus over to my browser for just a bit then go back the printer isn't connected. It's printing fine. I just don't see the status in the Cetus application. I have to go select it again. I even had the same issue with the USB connection.

Im gonna try and print it now and see how it goes, ill post about how it goes.

I usually stick to <2-3 hour prints max but since I started this one before bed, it wasn't like I was going to be waiting around for it. Worked out quite well. Thanks so much for designing this!

So much better (and quite a bit more compact) than what I had previously (on the floor due to scratching the table top). It's printing the screw portion of holder here:
