Please, please, please allow the beeping to be turned off in the next software release. It is loud for no reason and completely unnecessary.
Agreed. Those beeps are really loud.
Here's my fix.
I took a felt pad sticker, one of those you use to put under items you don't want to scratch the surface the item is sitting on.
It put one of those on the buzzer. Now the buzzer is still audible, but it's no longer ear piercingly loud.
How much the sound is dampened will depend on the felt pad you have. Mine is about a 1mm thick. If you use one intended for furniture instead, I'm sure it will dampen the sound even more.
