so the slicer keeps saying that the print head is 398 degs and wont print. Anyone had this issue and solved it? Ive tried restarting the slicer and reseting the printer, turning it on and off.

Check the connection of the rainbow ribbon on top of the extruder. This can happen if it is not seated correctly. Otherwise could potentially be a problem with the cable itself.
Seconded, typically when a thermocouple open circuits it will display max.. So check your connections :)
Does it display 398 as soon as it's turned on?
